I'm wondering why the poster would think 23 years of telephone experience would not equate to some expertise in cabling. In my area, Comcast techs are highly regarded as lazy and untrained. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
A lot of these guys follow the mantra 'Can't see it from my house..' No craftsmanship anymore.
Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.
