Went on site today to add F.V.M.
Factory ksu password does not work ** xxxx
Backdoor password does not work sexxxx
I called the original installer who is retired and up in years he gave 2 passwords which do not work
Can someone PM me any other help.
I told the owner i can swap out his cabinet for a refurbed with a warranty ksu but that cost is over what is wants to spend.

Why would you swap the KSU? If you're willing to go to that much trouble, just default the KSU.

I know there are several points of view on working on older systems, but this is one of the reasons we no longer will work on an STS. The STS has been out of production for over a decade, it's time for the customer to move on.

Not trying to sound harsh here and I admire your desire to help your customer, but you've put a lot of work and research into making this STS work for the customer. Will you make enough money to cover all of your time?

My quoted price was to install a flash v.m. to stop tele market calls.
Dial 1 to ext 100 call coverage on other phones. My quote was well worth my time till this clink came up.
If i default move, swithch 8 on to off will that default to factory **xxxx ?
customer has seen my frustration and should cover the cost for any extra time.

I agree with your comments but central pa is much different the Fl.
Customers here would rather replace the ksu then a new system.
I have one sts customer that is on his 3rd ksu,, waiter damage from a leak, etc, etc.
I was just trying to avoid the reprogram but it won't take long..
Always appreciate other tech comments.
