We have an Axxess 4.4 system that works well, but we would like a more current OS and something that supports IP access to the database. Our current system has 2 cabinets with (9) DKSC16, (3) DKSC, (2) LSC, an OPC, T1C and CPU128. We also have an OS/2 Axxessory Talk PC.
We would like to keep what we can (espcecially our phones) yet upgrade to a newer OS and hopefully some more features.
Any suggestions?

The math doesn’t quite work. You’ve listed 16 cards, where two cabinets will only support 14 and a CPU 128 isn’t quite enough for 200 ports.
Can you check again?

I agree with DND ON I think the most cost effective answer would be a new cabinets with upgraded power supplies, a new CPC and a new T-1 card. Depending on the real counts and total actual phones on the system, needed room for growth A 5000 might be the best solution. When you post the numbers again we'll try to get you some sound advice based on the numbers and needs Randy

Correction: Our current system has 2 cabinets with (9) DKSC16, (2) LSC, an OPC, T1C and CPU128. We also have an OS/2 Axxessory Talk PC. We have 13 cards in two cabinets plus a a CPU128. The power supplies are 550.0110. I look forward to your advice and comments.

How many digital keysets are actually in use, and how many voice mail ports do you have?
You have 144 station ports and 32 trunk ports, for a total of 176 ports. I’m thinking that you actually have a CPU-256 or maybe not all of the ports are enabled.
An accurate count is important, and may determine if an Axxess upgrade or CS-5000 replacement makes the most sense. There are also options for voice mail, where the number of ports comes into play.

We have 114 stations in use (113 digital keysets and 1 pager) so 30 station ports are currently unused. One of the LSC has a daughter board so we have 12 trunk ports, all used for POTS lines. I verified that it is indeed a CPU128, not CPU256.

Dataman, You can upgrade system software. At verion 5.1 and higher DB prgraming is like a windows explorer interface. https://www.offauto.com/pages.php/page/axxess_versions Version 7.0 and below we use a IP DB device that will allow to IP into the CPU for programming. Version 8.0 and higher has this feature built into the CPC. Randy
