juno has the right idea, I have always had much better success with an FXO port for paging than anything else.

Let me know

I found the problem which was causing all the speakers on the third floor to be really low there was a speaker that didn’t have any wire nuts on it and it was shorting out

This is a school so it was in one of the classrooms I’m not sure if on the kids had anything to do with it it’s definitely reachable if you stand on the chair

But I think I might look into that one white amplifier I just don’t have a model number yet

Volume still on like 10 or so

But it sounds fine

I just don’t like the idea of having the volume on 10

Thanks For all the posts

I knew it! There are likely more problems than just that one still lying out in the field. If you had a proper impedance meter, you could test all of the speaker lines, find, and remove all of the faults. There is no reason to have that amp turned up that high. You should also check all connections from the the paging adapter to the amp, and if there are settings in the paging adapter that may have changed since the new phone system was deployed.

Yeah...I can hear Marty and Nigel now....

Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...
Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?
Nigel Tufnel: Exactly.
Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?
Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?
Marty DiBergi: I don't know.
Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.
Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.
Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
Nigel Tufnel: [pause] These go to eleven.

OK so the painting seems to be fine the customer was inquiring about adding some additional paging horns on the outside of the buildings more for emergency/lockdown scenarios

I was thinking about the SPT5A or the SPT15A

The customer is asking me if they made a better outdoor speaker , at the time I didn’t think that they did but then I went on Bogan‘s website and I noticed that they have some higher end speakers I was just wondering if anybody was familiar with those and if they were compatible with their current system

Thanks

We have replaced about 20 Avaya systems and used Algo in each one. So far no problems. I have had to decrease the output volume from the default of 10 because the page was louder than the old PBX.
