Couldnt connect with pcpro remotely. System has been installed a week ago, this is second time it coudnt connect, first time was just a test on the day of install, so i checked all port forwarding rules, rebooted the system and router and it worked. Last night was the same issue, pcpro didnt connect so i tried WebPro and it did connect which didnt make any sence, after initializing the system i was able to connect with pcpro. DId anyone had similar issue?
Im wondering if it has anything to do with my choice of port 8080 for pcpro? web pro on 88 is working. Had to be changed due to existing NVR occuping 80 and 8000

Well, first you need to make sure you have restricted that port forwarding to ONLY the IP(s) that will be needing it. Great way to get DOS attacks as these are well known ports now.

Eventually I will be installing and configuring new router for them, then I can setup openvpn for my remote access and turn off forwarding for management ports. I’m waiting for ATT fiber install date to knock it off in one day. Restricting access to certain IPs is tricky, unless you have static IPs everywhere you go,
