Hello All,

I was on a customers site and attempted to log into a strategy VM. It has the off white face plate.
While attempting to log on, I received a message that my Admin software (Windows Based) supports v-3.0 and above.
I can only surmise that the VM is running on an older revision of software. My guess is its the DOS based admin software that I need, or did they make a earlier windows based Admin tool?

I'm also locked out of the Admin Box (999)

If anyone has the necessary software, that would be greatly appreciated. Any input on what my next move should be would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Al

Hi Al. Have some experience on Stratagy IVP8 and IES16/32

Need to know which one it is. Does it have an RJ45 ethernet jack on the front?

If it is an IES16/32 you will need to use the Stratagy ES Administration program which is Windows. You will need to know the IP address and user name and password to access.

If you do not have this there is a way to read the config file on the Compact Flash card using notepad and get the info..

The IVP8 is DOS based unit but you use a Windows GUI called VM Manager for access. Earlier versions used a DOS based app called R3Admin I think.

Just reading your post more closely. Looks like you may have an old DOS based Unit. Maybe a Stratagy DK or IVP8? Does it have a hard drive or a CF card on the board?

Either way I have the software starting at rel 2 and above if you can determine what you have.

Generally, I have had pretty good luck with using the Windows VM Manager Most of the systems I have managed are IVP8 R1 or R2.

I have a copy of the DOS-based software Uadmin21, which came out after R3admin.
