Sorry, I have very little experience with phone systems but I need help!
At my office, our phone is answered automatically by an automated menu. Recently, I've been asked to start sitting at the front desk and act as the receptionist...but the phone still automatically goes to the directory and only if they stay on the line does my phone actually ring.

How can I turn this off to make it so that all calls ring through to my phone??

You can't; there's no on/off switch for the auto attendant.

Your installer may be able to program some type of work-around, but this isn't user-level stuff.
