Ok... so I am having some issues capturing SMDR data from our Axxess system (8.201).
I have attempted to buffer it through the VPU with no luck.
Basically, I just need a way to capture the SMDR data with hyperterminal.
I have the bit rate set to 9600 and all handshaking is set to no. Auto baud is set to yes.
SMDR Output Active is set to yes. Enable SMDR Buffering is also set to yes.
The VPU is connected using a serial cable.
I am not onsite so this has been difficult.
Is there anyway to get this to go out via tcp/ip?
This has been a huge thorn in my side and would like to get this resolved. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

The SMDR data can be exported to a text file and then migrated using the system manager.
I am not sure if this is what you are trying to accomplish.
PM me and let me know some more details and I may be able to assist.
Thanks,

Did you figure out a way to have it go out via TCP/IP?

Monitoring SMDR by TCP/IP is straight forward, using a socket connection.
Go to System / Cabinets / Sockets and enable SMDR.
Then go to System / Maintenance / SMDR and set SMDR Output Active to Yes.
As to capturing the SMDR data, the easiest way would be through Diagnostics Monitor, and Log to File.
I have this running right know to track an intermittent problem with dropped calls. SMDR is being logged to a text file, and agents are instructed to enter an account code if there’s a problem. The account code will tag the call, and hopefully we can ID the line(s) giving us trouble.
