Hopefully, there’s a sticker or some paperwork somewhere that lists the original vendor. They would be your first choice in solving the problem.
If they can’t be found, you’ll need to find another certified dealer. They can contact Inter-Tel (now Mitel) to have the system password reset. Be prepared to pay a significant fee for this service.
Without a password, the system needs to be defaulted and programmed from scratch. Depending on the system vintage, this will require a new license. No matter how you proceed, you’re going to need a certified dealer.

There are several ebay auctions that sells software that bypasses the password on the Inter-Tel Axxess and 5000.

DND ON's response is spot on. Even if you were able to get the password to the system, you would still have to have the proprietary software to program it and know what you're doing in programming. You'll need to get a vendor involved.

Like the others have said, call a reputable dealer. Go on Mitel's site and you can find someone in your area.

If you are desperate and feel like you want to do it yourself, here is the eBay seller that has an actual web page at https://www.keytelco.com/bp2.html I don't recommend it unless you have Session Manager and are very familiar with programming. The price is cheaper than going through a dealer. The manufacturer makes you fill out a form and have it notarized and pay $150.00 USD the last time I did it and that is just the manufacturer’s price without the dealer costs.

I'm curious -- if someone advertises that they are willing to violate copyright and other laws by selling you a password cracker, do you really trust them not to also load spyware, viruses, and trojan horses?

Now I'm curious, if I own a fone system and my previous high priced dealer has put a password on my system to restrict access to their techs and I want to use a password bypass app to rid myself of said password how am I violating copyright laws? The programming interface is given away by the dealer, they advocate ease of use, do your own progarmming, etc, etc. Programming an existing system is not that hard.
The keytelco site has been around for awhile. If theey were doing that they would be gone, come on.
