We have two huntgroups, each served mainly by a single person. When that person is in, we would like all the calls to go to her, even waiting until her current call is completed. When she is not in, we would like others to take the calls.

I tried setting a speed dial to log users into all their huntgroups and then log them out of the single person huntgroup. But, we actually have two huntgroups served mainly by a single person. When I set the speed dial to log out of both the huntgroups, the speed dial is too long.

Any other ideas?

Thanks for your help.

Carl

Keep the other members logged into the two hunt groups at all times.

When she is not in, have HER log out of the HG's.

This will make the calls go to the other people only when she isn't in with the right timers in place.

Stix1,

I had been mulling this one over, but I think I like your solution better.

Let me see I I’ve got it right…

Create an extension list with the “secondary” hunt group members. Make the “primary” person the first member of the hunt group, and the extension list the second member. Max out the No Answer Advance timer, and flag Search Type as Linear.

Calls will ring at the primary person first (as long as she’s logged in) and not advance to the extension list, unless the timer expires after 255 seconds. If the primary person is not available, she logs out and calls will be presented to the extension list first.

Exactly right!!

There still may be a better solution out there but I think that may be the easiest.
