I support an Inter Tel system. I created a HG and under Members I put 3 HG Members Tiers. First tier have 5 extensions, Second tier have 12 extensions, Third tier have 47 extensions.

Example:
HG 9854
Members:
Tier 1
Tier 2
Tier 3

My question is:
How many extensions can I have in one Tier?

And what can I do on the HG timers?
Right now I have No Answer Advance 4 Seconds. The problem is that when it get to ring in the third tier for 4 Seconds it goes back to the First tier for 4 Second and it stop ringing on the Third tier.

How can I setup the tiers to stay ringing after it get to the third tier without bouncing back to the First tier?

You should have a maximum of 30 keysets ringing simultaneously. Anyways, I can’t imagine the noise made by 47 phones ringing at the same time.

With a four-second No Answer Advance timer, the phones will ring once than move on to the next extension list. That doesn’t give folks a lot of time to answer.

There are a couple of options:

You could keep the first two extension lists as members of the existing hunt group. Create a new hunt group with the third extension list as the member. Have the existing hunt group recall to the new hunt group. Set the priority level on the new hunt group to be higher than the existing one, so older calls will be presented first.

Or, you could keep everything in one hunt group and make the third extension list a member numerous times. Calls would keep advancing to the next member, which would be the same extension list. If not answered, it will return back to the first extension list, and start over. For that reason, I would recall to a new hunt group.

Either way, I’d seriously look at the timers and number of phones.
