HR wants to be able answer incoming calls if no one else does. HR is within sight of the receptionist and can hear the phones ring.
With the handset in the cradle, I dialed 397, pressed the button she wanted to use and dialed the receptionist's extension 1001. When a call comes in, the button flashes. If you press the button, it forwards to VM for the receptionist. Pressing 4 + the button gets the call.
I have a primary and secondary hunt group where incoming calls ring. HR is currently in the secondary hunt group. They don't want to be in the primary hunt group because they don't want all the incoming calls to ring at their extension.

By dialing 397 and then 1001, you set up a DSS key for x1001. In the Programmable Keys on the extension in question it will now reflect this.
Make that key a Secondary Extension Key for 1001.

Isn't that what I did? Th instructions in the User Guide are the same for programming feature buttons or secondary extension buttons.
