Ok i have a unique scenerio that i need help with.

I want to do a remote forward of a phantom ext to an outside number. This i know how to do via the remote programming of the number. However i also want the forwarded number to hit a different PRi than regular. I thought i could select the associated extension of the phantom to be the second pri and it would work but alas it is not. basically why i want to do this is that our main PRI requires a LD code from the carrier. The secondary (our backup PRI) does not.

Ideas?

Does the phantom have permission to use the other PRI?

Make sure it is included in the outbound access list for the other trunk group.

Solved:

Forwarding always chooses auto routing. Instead when i forwarded i put in the truck # and then it asked for phone #. Did that and all is good.

A few thoughts, depending on how comfortable you are with programming:

Did you cancel, and then re-establish, forwarding after you changed the trunk group under associated extensions? Sometimes the records lock and retain the ARS setting.

What does the phantom forward information look like in On Line Monitor? Does it show ARS, the original trunk group, or the new trunk group?

How about using the trunk group number in the forward dial string instead of 8 for outgoing?

Good to hear that it's fixed.
