I only have experience with godaddy.com. They are inexpensive and I've had no problems...

I to want to switch. I have had nothing but good service for XO communications, but @ $45 per month for web hosting and dial up service, it adds up. The thing about XO, is I can access thier dial up service locally from almost anywhere. Pretty nice to have when you are out of town and what to dial in and get email and stuff. Does anyone know if these other services offer something similar.

Seems to me that you want a ISP that has a 1-800 number to dial in while you are on the road to check email. I think you are going to have to search a ISP that has that option. godaddy.com will sell you a emial account.

$45 for web hosting is alot, especially a basic site. i register with dotster.com for very little and i host with hostignition.com. you can get a monthly package for $4.95/mo with some pretty good features. there's also fatcow.com for $99/yr As for email there is always juno/netzero for inexpensive nationwide dialup. i do web design as a hobby ( www.tgscorp.com) i can try to answer and questions.

That is a lot for hosting... I pay $4.95 for hosting. Most dialup ISPs will have an 800 number to set up a new connection. I did this a few times with my laptop on MSN. It takes a few minutes, but it's not difficult.

Has anybody ever heard of Broadband, I can't believe that you all still use dial up. It would drive me crazy. I'm not putting you down, just wondering. ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/smile.gif)
