Just re-programed the system after UPS Failed.
For some unknown reason, can not get " SYSTEM HOLD " to work. Tried " Skate to Hold " & " SPCL " - # 335 @ ea. Phone location. Unable to place any call on hold, on any line. There is a " strange Sound " when you press HOLD, like a blinking on & off sound.
Is there something I missed in the programing, or another command to get HOLD to work. Thanks.

Not sure (been 4 years) you need to establish an outside call for the hold to work.
Verify buttons are programmed w/ 335: SPCL 326 touch hold button; display should indicate system hold.
Procedure to program if needed: SPCL 327 Press Hold button dial 335. If you have newer style phones the SPCL button is now a sideways infinity button.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Um, there are no newer style phones on the 1224/2460.
Sorry ROSLYN, but it’s been too long since I worked on one of these and I tossed my books ages ago.
I am curious about the “blinking noise†– is it coming from the phone or the cabinet?

Back when dey wuz new, dey had newer, din'n dey? Or was that change on the Axxess phones?

Not until the Axxess 550.4xxx series keysets. Some had SPCL and others had the infinity key.
Even the Eclipse keysets still had the SPCL key.
