Hi, have an odd question...

We are having to downgrade our corporate phone system (axxess v 8223 to 8103) so we can redeploy the corporate to a bigger field office. Because I can't use db converter to downgrade, i'm having to recreate from a system we had laying around. Have everything programmed, but when bringing the voicemail messages and recordings over, I found that everyone will have to go through and resetup their voicemail passwords, even though all of their greetings and messages trasferred (in an offline test). Question is does anyone know if the voicemail passwords are stored on the CPC db, or the VM db? I moved the VM db file, but it brought everything but the recording associations and the VM passwords. Really don't want to have to explain to our President why he has to setup a new password...

There’s always the truth. The reason he would have to set up a new password is because an obsolete phone system was re-deployed.

The passwords are stored on the CPC db.

I know how "head honchos" can be. I would ask him for his password and just program it back in there for him so he doesn't have to think about it. Everyone else can manually change theirs. If they're anything like some of my customers, most of them are just at default still anyway.

Stix1, thanks for the info. We've been pulling hairs over this one, and its getting to the point where we're running out of ones to pull...

And yes, in an ideal world, either the explanation or obtaining of password would work. Unfortunately, I live and work in reality and the big boss and I exist on different planes...

Thanks guys
