scenario
Agent has HG call ring at station.
Agent hits line 2 to make outbound sales call.
inbound HG call gets stuck on that station for duration of outbound sales call. No Answer Advance in timers for HG are set for 20 seconds.That one inbound call will sit at that station for as long as that agent is on that outbound call.

I know they could just log out to make sales the call but........... this is what management wants.

Since the phone was idle and the hunt group call was presented to the agent, it should continue to ring at that station until the call is answered or the timer expires.

Is there another agent logged into the hunt group?

I am told it does happen when there are more than 1 agent logged in.

I'm not there watching, and I haven't sat and tested it yet, so I don't have first hand knowledge. I will try and test later today.

That would be normal. If there are no other agents logged in, the call has nowhere to go so it rings whatever agent is available.

Finally caught it happening, inbound call would hit main greeting and the timeout in the digit translation was set to replay main greeting. So someone will call (pocket dial) hit the main greeting and never press any options and thus begins endless loop.
