May be something to watch for, we've had three of these on two networks this past three days.
You may see a situation where an IP Phone (8662 class anyway) may get a "No Response from DHCP Server" error and display an address of 10.0.14.104.
Whoever handles the DHCP Server will need to track down the phone's MAC Addy (with phone unplugged), delete the assignment, exclude that address temporarily, and try again.
Once the phone gets another address the exclusion can be removed.
No clue as to why, maybe result of a recent Microsoft Update, maybe something else, but, as noted, we've had three such incidents, so far.
:bang:

This happens when there is a duplicate address on the network. The DHCP server attempts to assign an address to the phone, then the phone does an ARP on the network to see if anything else on the network has this proposed address and gets a response. The phone then will ask the DHCP server for a new address and this is where the train goes off the tracks. The DHCP server continues to attempt to assign the same address and the phone will not accept it because it knows it is in use.
Alot of time the 'rogue' device is a printer. So next time this happens, unplug the phone, find out which address the DHCP server is attempting to assign the phone and ping that address. If you get a reply, try browsing to that address and see what you get.

We tried pinging after the fact, nothing there, but that just may be what had been there just moved on. I was thinking maybe some kind of update introduced the issue because we've had these phone for years without issue until now.
If occurs again will try to be more aggressive in pursuit.
