Hi We have Inter-Tel Axxess 9.126. DB ver 1.66. we recently moved from a in house exchange 2003 to microsoft exchange BPOS. Prior to the move voicemail to individual emails via the email gateway and working fine. After the move we setup a specific email account set up as a pop3 email. We placed the settings in the email gateway
email system smtp/pop3
email address [email protected]
email real name -display name defined for email address set up
e-mail username [email protected]
email smtp server- mail.global.frontbridge.com
email pop server mail.global.frontbridge.com
Administrator email address- entered name and email address for administrator
gateway password entered password for above email account. we have successfully tested the account with setting up and outlook profile on a different PC.
as per BPOS team the above settings dont require any TLS, or SSL, basic port 25 with no authentication thats how they have configured the email account.
Its still not passing the voicemails to emails. we have tried every option with Microsoft team. we have ensured the email address is open and doesnt require authentication. any help would be great.
P.S i am new to Inter-tel system .

Your problem is more than likely due to the fact that you are using a relay server for your smtp and pop server.

What type of voicemail do you have?

You probably need to use your ISP's outgoing mail servers. The majority of them do not allow relaying, sending email through another provider, unless its authenticated or uses a different port than 25.
