Have made a phantom extension for direct ARS dialout, so that remote offices and IP phone users can get local office area dialtone for returning of customer service calls on the company dime. Access is restricted by requiring use of telco access code.
This works as intended for any on the system, but if a home user dials into the office and attempts to use it (for same purpose, to put the call on the company's account), get 'extension not available', even though the Extension ID exists.
Any idea on how to fix?
TIA

Have you tried deleting and recreating the extension ID?

A few times. What really annoys/upsets/POs me is that I did it before and it worked! Had a hack scare and my boss made me delete it (turns out not to have been related, I told him that but...), anyhow has told me to put it back and I can't remember how I did it. Bummer.
