Outgoing on a 5000, I see the call timer. Is there a way to see it on an incoming call? I tried playing around with expanded CO call information, etc. but I don't see that giving me the timer display.

When you receive an incoming call and you are talking, does the caller name and number appear on the top 2 lines of the LCD display?

Yes. Almost all the phones there are 2 line 5312's.

There is a system-wide flag called 'Display Caller ID Name and Number'. When enabled, display phones will show both the caller ID name and number on the top two lines of a display phone, the side effect being that the call timer is removed.
You can toggle it off under System\Flags. If it is off, then the phone will display the name of the inbound caller if available and the call timer beneath that on line 2.
