We have a Merlin 410 and at time in the past we've had 4 outside lines. Now were down to 2, How can I tell the system that the lines are not there anymore so that I can use those buttons for other features?

I do belive that the 4 line buttons on a 410 and the 2 intercom buttons are fixed buttons and you can't program them. If I'm wrong I'm sure dialtone will post a different answer.

You can un-assign the un-used lines (3 and 4 in your case) on a phone-by-phone basis.

At. Ext. 10, slide the T/P switch to P

Hit administer

dial the Extension number of the phone you want to program

The lines assigned to that set will light up.
Touch the line keys that you want to un-assign, the lights will go off.

Touch Administer and continue by dialing the next Extenison number.

Slide T/P switch to center when done.

I'm confused. What do you mean "hit administer"?? I don't find any reference to this in the manuals?????
