Friend asked me to work on an already installed Legend. Wiring appears to be not 4 pair as other Merlins, but 1 pair in a port and then the other pairs in adjacent port. There is a MLX phone at the recp't area and BIS phones elsewhere? How does this work?

The recept. phone is working out of a mlx module. The bis phones are wired for voice over busy -- three pairs (wbl-wor-wgn)feeds the phone and the wbr pair wired in the next port. It takes two ports to wire voice over busy to a bis phone.

thanks. But what is voice over busy? I think programming this system is too much for me to handle. I'm used to the simpler Merlins.

e-mail or call me; if you like I can remote program the switch for you.
