Does anyone know where to get the software to remotely program the Definity Prologix switch?
I tried Lucent and they seem to keep blowing me off.

You can use HyperTerm that comes with your PC but most people use Procomm +

I think you are probably talking about TeraNova. It is a nice graphical user interface windows based program. It can administer, print reports, perform maintenance tasks, and print labels. It is very expensive from Avaya. Email Me.

Hyperterm does NOT work with Prologix.

You need DSA definity site administrator or Avaya Site Admin. And also customer Access to inads must be yes.

As posted earlier you need Definity Site Administration (DSA) or Avaya Site Administration (ASA) You need to have the remote dial up number. You need to have the appropiate login and passwords. You also need to have the permissions set to allow access for the login you are using. If you are new to Definity and cannot access tese switches remotley you really should consult with some one for assistance.

Good Luck!!

Mike

You need to support terminal type 4410 or 513. Hyperterm does not.
Since the IBM keyboard has no way to emulate the F keys, the System 75/Definity
and Audix provides 3 basic emulation codes. Choose 4410.
The following sequences will work with emulation 4410 using a PC or VT100 keyboard

ESC Op - To cancel a command
ESC Ot - To request Help
ESC Ov - Next Page
ESC Ow - Previous Page
ESC Or - Save
ESC Oq - Refresh Screen
ESC Os - Clear Fields

You can achieve the escape sequences by hitting the ESC key, and then the
key combination O and the following character.
Once you have chose emulation 4410, please remember (or take note) of the
previous escape sequences. You will not be able to save information
without knowing the proper code. ("ESC Or").
ESC Op is also very important
since it is the only method of stopping the execution of a command.
Depending on PBX version Terranova,DSA,ASA will work. Avaya's Terminal emulater software will work on all. The new server's support terminal type W2K and you can telnet from any DOS prompt to an open CLAN IP-Service port or the default 5023 on the server.
