Try craftr4 as the password. In order to direct connect to a Legend/Magix you will need a AF-355 adapter, and a db-25 to db-9 connector.

You can also connect onsite to a basic port on 012 module and put the *10 in the direct connect setup. You can dial in to an operator and ask to be transfered to *10 using manual connect setup. craftr4 is the default for connecting. I have yet to come accross one that has been changed.

If you have a free 012/016 ttr port and a free co port, you can loop the single line back to the co port and setup the co port as a disa line with a barrier code. then if you have voicemail too, you can renumber the t/r port to a normal ext number and then use the voice mail to transfer you to the t/r port connected to disa. you get a studder dialtone then enter the barrier and then dial *10. this comes in handy when you need access to the system aftre hours and noone is there to transfer you.

Hey Ken,

I have tried to set that up in the past, but no luck. Could you email me with a little more detail, and do you have to use barrier codes?

You should always use barrier codes. Let's see.....

Lines/Trunks
Remoteaccess
Lines/Trunks, enter the co port you are using
make sure it isn't in a pool or assigned to anyone. set it for dedicated.
plug a 2 wire base cord from the co port you are using to the single line port you are using.

Go into barrier code,spm/maint and enter 1
then goto code info and length and change it to whatever length your code is to be., it will tell you that by doing this you will erase all codes, just answer yes to it.
then goto code entry and put in 1 and then your code. then you want to make you single line extension whatever number to be able to access it from either a did or a mailbox number.

If you have voicemail and auto attendant just transfer from the attendant to that voicemail box, you will hear a studder dialtone, enter the barrier code you will hear another dialtone, then dial *10 and your in.

if you have a did for it then just renumber the single line to the did and dial in using the telephone number assoc. w/ it.
