I would like to know how to make calls from Outlook. I was not aware of this feature. I have not heard of using a Bis-34 to connect to a modem either.

Outlook 2000 is TAPI enable, so you can place a call using modem from your contacts in CONTACTS folder. There is small telephone icon on the tools bar OR press Ctrl+Shift+D to start your call from selected contacts.
I am thinking that BIS-34 or Any BIS has one extra OTHER port in the back, may we can use that to connect to PC and modem will place a call by picking one of the line from BIS. This way my user have all PBX features available and call'll go thru the PBX for better billing perpuse and etc..

Thanks for the outlook info. When your user places the call, does he expect to talk through the BIS Telephone to the caller? Or, is he just using a mic and speakers from his PC to make the call? If the latter is the case, do you have any S/L ports on the PBX. It might be an easier config issue to run a single line set across the same cable and just break it out at the jack. This assumes they are using a 4 pair cable, in which case the brown is not used by the PBX.

Yes, He want to talk into BIS phone, not on the PC's MIC or speaker. This way he has all PBX features on hand like HOLD, CONFERENCE, PARK and many more.
I know that S/L phone to use as second set. Do you any other solution with only one phone set on his desk. He can get that modem calls on his old ext by * 7 and then S/L extension to pickup call. I don't want this way to get done.

for those feaures, he probably needs to go with some type of CTI intergration, which I don't think any BIS telephone is capable of, or a System 25. Sounds like he needs to go to a different system, or use a enhanced single line set that would offer him features.
