Ok you techs, I need some help. I am helping a buddy setup Merlin Mail R.3 with a Legend 5 system. All works well when the AUTO ATTN. answers but when you press a selector code it goes to the right station but the station mailbox won't answer. What am I missing, It's been a long time since I've worked on phones but I'm sure it's something stupid I'm forgetting to program.
Thank You

The only thing I can think of now that you have the mail boxes with the class of service 20 and that is transfer only mail box .so check the class of service .if still not working post again.

Good luck

Class of service is 1. It acts like the mail box's aren't associated with the stations
They have it set for 1 Auto Attn. Touch tone gate is closed. They are using selector codes for extension transfer. They have the DN's set to two on both units.

What happens when you dial that station direct? Does it go to mail or not? If not, check cover group 30 and add station to it.

Do you have your stations with Voice Mailboxes in the Voice Mail Cover Group, with the Voice Mail Calling Group as the receiver?

(Typically, voice mail calling group is 770, which is the receiver for cover group 30)

I second the coverge group solution. Sounds like they are not set to cover to voice mail.

I'm the kind of guru that hasn't worked on the old Merlin mail in a while. Some times we all need to have the old brain jump started. [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]
