Does the Merlin Plus 820d2 have a backup battery to retain programming upon power loss? If so, where is it located? Is it replaceable? I have a unit that is loosing programming. I replaced the processor module with another old one I had and get the same results. Maybe the battery is bad in both of them.

The Battery located in The feature module or sometimes they call it memory module .its located on the top next to the MOH and Paging port.if you Have R2 it has two jacks BB and ASA. The battery is 3.6 volt and its not available nowadays.unless some one had old stock.
Good luck

I followed your advice, ordered the battery from Mike Sandman ($11.95), also ordered the TORX T6 Wrench need to remove the screws on the Merlin Module ($3.99). Very nice guy took the order and shipping was very fast. Removed the screws and was pleased to see that no soldering was required. Popped the battery in, trimmed the leads and had it back in the Merlin 820d2 KSU within 5 minutes. Works like a charm. Thanks for your help!
