Hi! All,

I have AT&T system 25 Release 3 Version 4.15.4 and it has DID for incomming calls and 12 ground start trunk for making calls out. It hunt at the middle for any empty trunk when someone make call and get dial tone. we use 9 to get dial tone.

I want to make my system in two groups of trunks; so I can use 8 and 9 to get dial tone. It will look like as 8 has 6 trunks and 9 has 6 trunks.

I am not sure its possible with my system. I may have very old REL and I don't have any at this time. Any other suggestion would be
appreciated. Is newer rel available to download from web?

Thanks in advance,

RD

It has been years since I have worked on a system 25. Give me a few days to dig into my books and I will get back too you. Can you access all 12 trunks now when you dial 9 to make a call? If so; what is the reason that you want 2 groups?

Thanks for your help.

Yes, I can access all 12 trunks. It hunt at the middle for dial tone.

I have new Device call MATRIX box from by provider, that require two groups to place different calls successfully. I mean all toll free, 911, 411 etc... will be placed by dial 9 and all other calls will be placed by dial 8 and that use other group of trunks.

I am not sure that its doable on this system 25 with Rel 3. I hope this may help you to better understand what I am looking for.

Thanks again.

You can put the trunks into 2 groups like 70 for local 411 611 800 888 866 ect. and use group 71 for Long distance > then Using ARS you can assign what calls go through Trunk groups Adn dial 9 for all calls.

I agree with the answer that TTECH gave you; the ARS table will have to route the calls.
Good Luck
