Everything is working great. Thanks to those who have helped. For the record, we have the Partner Messenging r1.0 and Partner II 4.0 CPU.

ow I'm being a little nick-picky. [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]

When you press *2 and use the default prompts to enter a name, it never says "Enter last name" or "first name".

1) Is there a way to put our own recording over this prompt? Possibly by creating our own Dial-By-Name menu option?

Also, I've noticed that after you dial a last name the system immediately says, "Your call is being transferred." In the other VM systems I have dialed into, I've always heard the VM system speak the recorded name of the mailbox it found. Or at least say, "Transfering you to extension xx".

2) Is there a way to enable this feature or is it possible?

Thanks in advance,
Eric

No to both of your questions. I usually specify "To use the Dial-by-First-Name (or Last Name) Directory, press star two".

The older Partner Mails would announce the recorded name before transferring, and even say "For future reference, the extension for [spoken name] is XX". I think that it is actually a good privacy/security feature that it doesn't do that on the Partner Messaging.
