I've also heard that when making a 3-way call. Another CO or centron feature. I'm not sure if that’s still what they call it. I've never heard studder dial tone on anything other than those 2 features...but then again I've never worked on the Definity switch either. So I'm guessen [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]

I am going around in circles on this, the DID's come in over PRI T1, there is no service for voicemail on this T. this is a random occurence. I dial the main number that answers me with AA. once in a while maybe 1 out of 20 calls instead of getting AA I get a studder dialtone. this also occurrs on transfers to voice mail or inside transfers from the operator to an ext number. it's the damnest thing! I have turned off ALL Remote access features and ALL studder dialtone features, but yet it keeps happening. I am thinking corrupt software.

I think your voicemail ports. Probably just one. Do you have studder dial tone activated as a system-parameter feature customer-option? Also, check the VM ports page two, they don't have audible msg waiting activated.
