i was trying to connect to our 007mlm with hyperterminal (1200 8-N-1)auto terminal emu. when i connect i get the "enter system password" prompt, but when i enter the password it says incorrect and asks for the pw again. any ideas? tried sys adm pw and serial number with no results

Does the admin password work using the phone?
Try resetting the password. Sometimes the serial number on the sticker is wrong if its a refurb. Use your modem in hyperterm on site from a T/R port and call port 7. Check what the hard-drive serial number is.

ok, tried using the serial to reset the unit and it didnt work. so im assuming when they repaired the card the drive was not re-serialized correctly. guess ill have to send it back to be done correctly.

i was able to log into the sys admin through a phone set, just not through the RMD (COMM) port. but glad you had me check or i may have never known about the serialization until it was too late
