I have an 007 set up with 3 auto attendants, voice mail works fine as well as the auto attendant if you call the dummy extension that is assigned to the attendant for delayed answer. The problem is that an outside line calling in just gets the message "transfering please wait" an transfers to an unknown location. The outside line is assigned in the auto attendant and the dummy extension also has the line assigned to it. what am I missing?
Thanks
Harry

since you are using a "dummy extension", put it in your voice mail coverage group, build a mailbox for the dummy extension, give it class of service 15 for att 1, 16 for att 2, 17 for att 3 or what ever is appropriate, you would also probably give the line, "principal user" to the "dummy extension"(under lines and trunks), after rereading your note, probably the solution is the "principal user" assignment, because it sounds like something else is covering before your dummy station, another extension that has the line assignment, but no mailbox

I am using the dummy extension 301 (also tried 101,102,103 all unused), the first card in the system is a 408 ls/gs MLX and the extension 101 is unused. One of the manuals said that if you had a MLX card you needed to use the associated MFM port of an unused extension for the "dummy port" There is a mailbox set up for 301 with a service type 15. I also tried 16 and 17 with same results. The incoming line is 801 and I just checked, 301 is the principal user. I will try it with 301 as the only extension using 801. Probably sonething simple, but I'm running out of ideas.
Thanks
HarryC

I gave up and reset everything to factory defaults, reprogramed everything and now all is working.
Thanks
Harry
