I have a legend system in our home/shop with rel 4 processor 408 mlx and atl cards and an 012 card and Voice mail. I have another Legend with a rel 1x processor, 408 mlx and ATL cards as well as an 012 cardat out cottage. Since it is a toll call between both locations, and we have broadband internet at both locations, I'd like to link using ip. I also have Cisco routers with FXS and FXO ports for both ends (left over from my son's CCIE training. We have tried using an single line extension at the remote location coming into an unused trunk at the shop location and it does work, but I wonder if there would be a better way, without purchasing too much extra equipment. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks Harry

Not much more you can do with the equipment you got. The lack of digital phones or available extra bandwith will limit you.

To really do anything useful you would need to upgrade to a rel 6 on both sides and install either ds1 100d cards or 400 e/m modules and then convert the ip traffic to those formats.
