i finished programming this merlin messaging r1 with day and night menus on a single auto attendant set to delayed call handling (24sec). everything plays back fine while logged into the sys admin control.

the problem i'm encountering is that when the AA picks up the call, instead of playing the day/night menu all it says is "transfering to an operator" then it rings station 10. i have the day/night set to switch mode. it does this regardless fo the night service mode.

edit:

ok, i figured out how to get the extention set up to send the delayed call to an AA. with that solved, the problems increase.

now, when i hit my night service button, it continues to play the day menu instead of night. it also wont transfer to the correct extention (selector code transfer), it always sends to 10. and finally, if someone hangs up on the AA instead of dropping the line, it keeps it active and rings ext 10 with that line flashing until its answered.

couple of things:

make sure all your voice mail ports are rotary enabled.

make sure you assign your co lines to the voice mail hunt group for immediate answer or to another hunt group that overflows to the voice mail hunt group and that you assign the co lines to the first hunt group that overflows to the vm group.

if all of your problems are not resolved, look at lines/trunks/ tt/ls for positive disconnect set to yes, and if you use delayed auto attendant on the mm side, you will also get the 24 sec delay when calling the vmail to retrieve messages, couple of ways to achieve delayed calls to auto attendant, simplest is to add the attendant mbox to mm as auto attendant, place in vm cover group, and control the delay through extensions, group cover, and this assumes the attd is set up as dlc
