I have been asked to give a client some prices on adding voice mail. Actually more auto attendant with only one or two message boxes. It's an old spirit 616

I don;t know if the spirit supports passing DTMF or if it even supports SLT's. But if so,I would like to put in this Panasonic TVS75 I have sitting here. But if there is a better solution for this system I would like to hear about it.

I already gave numbers for a new phone system. The customer (rural health clinic) wouldn't be able to afford the vm AND a new phone system. Since the phones aren't giving them any problems they don't want to upgrade.

Basically day and night mode and message light control is all that is needed, other then subscriber mail boxes of course.

Are there any solutions? or Any advice?
Thanks.

You can get a sweet little refurbished system made by Executone (before they crashed and burned), the Medley. Built in caller ID, voice mail, basic 4x8, expandable to 16x32. With 8 phones for about $2000.

You can get a (new) Partner ACS with four phones and a PC mail for under 2,000 also. And it would be new. It would be a 3x8 expandable to 15x40 with Caller ID built in also.

why should a company invest in a phone system from a manufactuer who has long been out of business......

since your existing customer has a Avaya product, upgrading to an ACS would be the most logical and smart sell.........

Thanks for all the suggestions.

What would an ACS around 6X16 w/auto attendant and phones cost me? Phones can be lower end.

You can go with a two slot but if they grow past 6x16 you would have to get a 5 slot carrier so it may be wise to just get it in the first place. Then you would need the ACS 308 processor and a 308EC expansion. If you don't want to spend big money on the voice mail you can go with the Large PC mail (2x16). They make a 34button display, 18button display, 18button non-display and a 6button.

You can get an idea for pricing from these sites. Being that you are new to the Partner make sure that the place you get it from will also help you set it up and help you program it.

Thanks for the help everyone. My contact just yesterday returned my many calls to him reguarding submitting the bid. So I guess he needs to talk with some committe and all that. Anyway... Non-profits are hard to work with.
