just looking for additional thoughts .... replaced 100 DCD cards at both sites, upgraded processors to same release, changed processors.
PRI continues to go down every couple of days, i remote in, reset slot, circuit back up.
Circuit provider, has tested circuit numerous times, to find no problems.
A friend suggested problems with smart jack ... any other ideas?????

Looks like its taking errors then the buffer overruns. Check maintence, slot, errors. Clear the errors and see if they increase. Check your CSUs and Smart Jacks all say b8zs & esf.

Double check the framing and coding on both ends and verify that your T1 provider is using the same. If this is a b8zs ckt make sure they can run a 'all zero's' test, if zero's won't run then this would indicate a miss option mux somewhere in the circuit. If you are using b8zs and your provider is set for AMI the NIU's will tend to hose up and drop the circuit. Also, check the clock source for your cards. Typically a point to point should be master and slave. However, I have found with point-to-point channel banks that setting both ends to clock from the T1 tends to be more stable. The stratum 3 and 4 clocks in most equipment are not very accurate and tend to slip a lot.
Good luck.

Make sure you are taking clock from the network on both switches. If you are using a PRI that does not provide clock then make one switch use local clock and the other use network.

If this is point to point, it may be in the way your translating it? Point to Point is wide open for you to setup anyway you want. maybe if someone has a ptp going they can copy and paste that here for you to look at?
any takers?, I don't have nay legends or magix in that state right now.

There really are not many variations of point to point when it comes to networked Legends. I have a cheat sheet made up on this if you guys would like. It pretty much covers the setup. It really sounds like a clocking issue like Gkar said. The PBX side should be set to local, assuming that it is the second t-1 in the system. The network side is set to loop regardless.
