while I read all the posts in all these boards, my question is why do interconnects or us techy's like to install Partner & Magix systems???
All I read about is defective modules...systems defaulting...bad Partner PC Mail Cards...
Wouldnt you guys like to install systems that you pop in and walk away from????
While I understand the AVAYA line is a popular line and most businesses want a system from a company that aint going away...if you are a good salesman you gould do better with other product lines...
Of the handful of custoemrs that have called me with AVAYA products, when I visit their premises they all have cartons of old used broken phones....why is this???
I have put in about a dozen of the NEC/NITSUKO DS1000/2000 systems and I walk away and never get called back...
Just curious...I guess Im gonna start spending more time on this board as PBXINFO.COM is more of a Nortel board... and I would rather install an off-shore system then support the Canadians......
I dont mean to start a lot of arguments its just we have a better trade relationship with off-shore countries then we do with Canada.........
Care to argue that point with me???

Groundstart,
I would say that the market is flooded with avaya.. and so many systems have been used so there is bound to be trouble , i mean the partner is the number one seller in the usa... As for new defective equipment, i would say watch who you buy from. I would pay just a little more to make sure it is authorized equipment and not that grey market garbage like telequest and maetroline sell.

lorson is right on the money, the reason you hear about Avaya equipment going bad is that there are so many of them out there, I to install the new Nitsuko/Nec units and they have there share of problems as well. As far as a system that goes on and on the Telrad is one of the strongest systems out there.

my failure rate on Avaya equipment is very low. I think Avaya and Nortel make a solid product that doesn't have the little problems of other systems.

Nitsuko Onyx sets go out on a regular basis. I think Telrad is one of the strongest systems out there too. If you think about it Avaya is making it (ya know it's not top notch) so when they get past the out of box failure they know there's a replacement sale in their future (job security)...especially with them flooding the market...The get to sell to each customer twice (kinda thinken) ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/smile.gif)

Nitsuko/Nec,I've had Out of The Box phone failures, Also have had a few station cards go bad as well as a couple of voice mails go out.
I put in allot of Partner systems and I have a very low failure rate as well, but I only buy new equipment to install.

The toshiba systems before CTX were great systems. I keep seeing new ones for sale and I thought they had quit making them. The ones I installed hardly ever failed.

lorson, you are right about metroline and telequest...I know first hand; I have tried some of their garbage. Often times their stuff is bad out of the box...parts missing and etc. I have had very good luck with Consolidated Ventura, from Arizona. Their stuff costs a little more, but I've never had a problem with their equipment. If you ask them though, for less money you can get lower grade equipment (like telequest and metroline garbage); but they are reluctant to even sell it. Just my 2 cents...
