Greetings, I have a customer with a Definity that is having some ARS issues with our dialer. We send all calls to the Definity as 1(AC)xxx-xxxx. Right now the local calls are passed to the main trunk group and the CO message plays (no need to dial a 1). I know I need to set up an ARS entry with the AC and local prefixes... will the Definity allow me to set one up to strip off the 1+(AC)? And what commands whould I use?
Thanks! -Dave

Maybe someone else will chat in. Yes you can strip the digets; I just can not tell you how it is done. It is in the route tables but I don't know the exact steps.

In order to strip digits, you have to determine what route pattern your trunk group is using. Then go into the route pattern and after each trunk group number assigned to the route pattern, go to the No. Digits Delete and type 1. Be sure to do this to all trunk groups.
Good Luck

The correct way to remove the "1" is in the route-pattern set the "prefix mark" to 0. If you use delete digit this will always delete the first digit on all calls using this route pattern. The prefix mark 0 will only remove it from 11 digit fnpa calls.
