i have a partnerII system with a 206E and 400E modules i have setup the phones already.
but i got 6 creditcard scanner and i want to know wether i have to conect them to the system or not.(actualy i own 7 lines: 2 for telephones, 1 to the fax ,1 to the ATM
3 for the creditcard scanners.

You can hook them up to a port but from what you have told us you only have 6 ports to play with, and 6 line ports to play with. You may just want to put two scanners on each port if you have enough or you could hook them up straight to your 3 lines with 2 on each line. If you use your system you will have to add the lines to the system and assign them to the scanner ports as you see fit, you will need to assign the scanner ports with Auto Line Selection for the line you want the scanner to usae, Auto Extension Privacy also, keep in mind you can only use one scanner at a time if you double them up on the ports or the lines.
It may be much easier for you to hook them up straight to the lines.
