I have been told by Avaya that the Merlin Messaging Rel 1.1 is not capable of being administered via a LAN connection. I have never heard that, but it would explain why I cannot connect. Does this sound right to anyone?

Is this is the old Voy-Sys voice mail? It was marketed with the Lucent name (I Think) and made by Voy Sys. If it is I did one, and only one, a long time ago and it was programmed via a telephone using it's internal voice prompts. If I remember correctly it was pretty easy to program and set up.

The only version of merlin messaging that start to support admin thru the LAN port with Merlin messaging s/w is rel 2.0 and above.The merlin msg 1.1 its not supported.I hope that helps.
