I need to place a second vm cover button on ext 10 line 3 on a 18d set.(cust has 2 different businesses)I have one set up for line one already.No auto att.Cust wants calls to line 3 to go to vm only when cover is pressed. Thanks John..

Should I assign line 3 to ext 12 then place a cover button on it?

That will work. If you want the callers to here a different message then you will have to assign line ownership to different stations. You are on the right track.
