I have a similar problem. My customer want three privte extensions to go to voicemail when they are on the line. They have a seperate hunt group which works fine. I have reprogrammed everything in the system with no luck. What can be done? <font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by dtmf: Give them Automatic VMS Cover, program #310. set it to 1 assigned and that will send the calls to there Voice Mail box if they are on the phone or don't answer it.
If you are asking can a call be forwarded to VMS if all lines are busy when a call comes in then no, the caller will get a busy as there is no line for the VMS to answer.

The only way for this to work on a Partner would be for each user to have multiple lines to their extension in hunt from the CO. If you want each user to have one number that ring multiple times you would have to install the T-1 module, set it up for DID and purchase a T-1 from the CO. The T-1 works ok on a Partner, but I would suggest PRI and a Magix.

If the first called CO line is busy you would need hunting from the telco to hunt to the next available line. If this is working correctly from the telco check #206 in the partner system programming and make sure the auto attendant is set to answer all the lines that you want to route to voice mail.
