I'm scheduled for ip office boot camp training in early July. I read slowly and if possible would like to get an advance copy of the class material for early reading. I have some Avaya site downloads, but I'm looking for that class material. can anyone provide that? [email protected]

Good luck with IP Office. I'd send you my materials, but we dropped the product because it won't/can't do over half of what is promised, and I tossed it all. I would be very careful how I offered that product.

I may be able to get you some info, not sure how quick. As for the product, wouldn't sell any other IP product. IP Office does things a little different, but WOW, we have not found anything it won't do. I'll let you know

I am very impressed with the IPOffice and its capabilities. This switch, and the Vmail Pro application, will do almost anything you can dream of (with digital trunks of course). I am also most impressed with the user applications like phone manager and the call center software.

It is quite possible that many of the initial bugs have been worked out. We installed the very first IP Office 412 that Avaya shipped, and at the time, it did not live up to its' billing. Many features did not work, it was advertised as a voice/data routing solution, which it could not do. I believe most of the problems we had were issues where the customer was promised it could do something, then when we went to put the solution together, the IP Office couldn't handle it, or didn't handle it the way it was advertised. Regardless, the two aforementioned customers ended up spending quite a lot of additional money to make the solution viable.
If the bugs have been worked out, then I think it could be a very flexible product. I thought when I first read about it, that it sounded like the perfect small business offering. It was after I went to school on it, and found out all of it's(at the time) limitations, and after those two installs, that I got soured on it. Perhaps I need to revisit the product. Does anyone know what release it is in now?

2.1, I have had no problems since 2.0. I would suggest giving it another look at. It has replaced the Partner and Magix in almost all new small business office applications.

I understand they are going to go straight VOIP by the end of 2006 and drop both the partner and Magix, in favor of IP office. Guess I don't have much choice but to look into it.
