I have music on hold activated, and a cd player hooked up through the headphone jack to an rca cable with a phono adapter plugged into the music on hold port on my partner II system, and the volume is all the way up, but there is no music. If I wiggle the port, I can hear static. I have tested the player / cable on a seperate stereo system to verify that it works.

My only thought is that the hardware on the partner module is broken. Any other thoughts?

make sure that the rca connector is making a good connection, i have seen rca connectors that don't insert in far enough to make a good conection.

it's your connectors.

depending on what rca connector you are using you may need to cut a bit of insulation back for a good connection

Thanks, I will try that. Im not sure why it woudlnt work (it is a brand new out of the box connector), but I will give it another shot.

Exactly what txfoneman said. I have had to cust some of the insulation back on the rca connector to allow it to seat deaply enough. You could put your buttset on the rca connector to see if you can hear the music. Feature 19 will allow you to hear it through a speakerphone.
