We have 5 single line cordless phones that are used quite heavily.

Each of these 5 individuals is assigned a phone. When they get a call we normally announce it along with what line its on over the PA. If they have a cordless with them they have to get on the radio (which they also carry) and announce which extension to transfer the call to. Now as far as I know, transfering is the only way to get a incoming call to a single line phone....

Hopefully someone here can tell me different!

Ideally I would like for the individual with the cordless phone to be able to pickup the call themselves.

Is there a way for a single line phone to pickup a line?

The system manual provides very little insturction on using single line phones with the Partner system.....

Call Park/Pickup will be your only option with this system.

1. Lift the handset.
You hear intercom dial tone.
2. Dial 6 plus the two-digit number of the extension at which the call is ringing or parked.

You can also dial 6 and the line number (801=1, 802=2 803=3 804=4)and so on. That way they can grab a call on hold.
So that way after the page they can grab any line you have put on hold.

This is from the documentation concerning "Direct Line Pickup".

To use Direct Line Pickup—Active Line on a single-line telephone:
1. Lift the handset.
You hear intercom dial tone.
2. Dial 68 and the two-digit system line number of the line you want to pick up or join.

I didn't think of this feature earlier. good call.
