I have a MOH customer that has a Merlin Plus system. According to my tech they only have BIS-10 phones and he was not able to turn on the MOH using the BIS-10. My question is which Merlin do I need to program the system, and where and how cheap can I run up on one...Thanks in advance

I think a merlin plus has a moh jack built on the front of the system !?!?!? (top right)

Yes it does have the MOH jack on the top under the little slide out cover.

You can use a BIS 10 to program but it's not ideal, if your only programming MOH you should be fine as you don't need any button appearance. By default it should be set to on and at medium volume. I would assume it is working, have you tried just hooking up the source and testing it?

I think it has to be done from the admin phone, ext 10 low, medium, high and off are the options.

The BIS 10 is not recommended but you can use it to admin the system, there are some features you won't be able to do however if you are using a BIS 10 to admin you would perform as if using a BIS 22 you would have to use dial codes instead of Auto buttons. You should be able to admin the MOH with no problems as you use codes for that anyway.

I went through this kind'a fast so review before using. Slide switch to P and touch admin or dial #49 to enter admin. *12=off, *13=low, *14=med and *15=high..hope this helps. Yes a 10 button will work for this, #49.
