Help-- our asterisk system doesn't seem to set the message waiting light on the legend correctly-- any ideas what the correct codes are or what else could disable these codes from being accepted on the analog lines connected to the voicemail computer???

Thanks!
Richard

First, the System can't be set for behind the switch mode for any voice mail to light the msg light. Is this voice mail used? Max on messages can only go to 1499 or less. The legend is a 25v msg waiting system not a 90v.

here's the solution--
to turn the lamp on the system needs to dial on an extension that is associated to the VMI the following codes:
#53exten for on
#*53exten for off

where exten is the extension number of the phone with the MWI you want to control.

this is incorrectly documented elsewhere-- just a bit confusing since it says exten# and you must not dial a second # before you hangup the call.

Thanks for your suggestions!
Richard
