I have a partner ACS r1 and Partner mail R3. One of my extensions on a 206 r4.1 card is giving alot of static. I would like to switch the user to another extension, without interuption of service to her or any of my clients. I tried testing this with Call forwarding/Call Follow-me feature 11. This works fine for outside calls but not intercom. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Instead of Call Forward (Feature 11), use Call Cover (Feature 20, originating extension, covering extension). Set the Call Cover Rings to 1 (and I seem to remember on an R1 it is a global setting, not individual to the extension).

Now calls will ring at the old extension once, then ring at the new extension, then cover to the OLD voice mail.

Now you don't have a message waiting light either. Still best to either replace the bad hardware, or make the user change extension numbers.

There seems to be no feature 20. When i try and enter it it does nothing. I could also find nothing about it in the Partner ACS release 1.0 programing and use book.????

Dial Feature 20, your extension, then the covering extension...i.e F20,xx,xx. Hope that helps.

Thats what i am saying, when i type feature button and then 2 0 it does nothing. There is no prompt and it does nothing when i type my extension number and the extension i want it to foward to. Is it possible because of my release number it does not support feature 20?

Dial F20,xx,xx then make a test call to the sending extension. If it works, great. If not then you know for sure. Sorry, I don't have rls 1 docs.

Try feature 11, xx, xx -- this is call forward/follow me. I do not think r1 supports call coverage -- starts with r2 I believe.
