I'm looking for the programming manual for the Partner 18d. As a Vodavi dealer I'm unfamiliar with model numbers. Can anyone point me to the correct manual in the "manuals" section for this website? Thanks in advance!

go to the display set and press Feature 59 and it will tell you what Partner system and release you have. If your stiull not sure post back with your findings and we will let you know what you have.

Thanks for the quick response. I called my customer and had him try feature 59. He had no luck. This was from an idle phone. He went to the phone closet and read me Model 103D2 from what sounds like the KSU. Is this it and if so which is the correct manual. Thanks again!

He has a Partner, Partner Plus, or a Partner II. If he had an ACS, the Feature 59 would have shown the release in the LCD display.
While you are on the phone with him, have hime press Feature and dial #-1. You will hear a series of touch-tone "1"'s. The number, and pattern of these 1's is a code to tell you what model and release he has.
Post back the results, and we can direct you to the correct manual for the system

Gents~ I gratefully ask of your assistance... I just walked into a new job, old phone system. job #1: get the phone and VM set up properly. I have ACS r5.0 system set up here and i need to know how to reprogram the 22 top buttons on the phone. I have read and re-read the manual and have been pretty successful in the last 24 hours getting a lot of these features to work on the entire netwrok from 10/11. However, this phone button thing has me stumped. I have also had no luck with the RAC Card connection. I have a modem hooked up, working fine, the rack has the RAC PCMCIA card in it, but i haven't been able to make a successful connection to it yet... PLEASE HELP!!!

jasma12, To program the buttons on any ext. You can go to that ext and press feature 00. That puts that ext in program mode.
Then press what ever button you want to program, then press what ever feature you want on that button. For example voice mail would be intercom 777. Then to get back out of programing just press feature 00 again.
The two bottem buttons on the lower left hand side are hard buttons (intercom) and can not be programmed.
Has far as the RAC card connection are you trying to connect remotely or localy?
Hope this helps,

thanks for the response. I've learned how to program most of the buttons on each individual phone, haven't had access to line 10 or 11 to try the entire system programming though. Except for the system date and time, which worked fine, i have only been doing it phone by phone. I can't seem to figure out how to program the 4 buttons at the top(with no lights on them). How do i do those? ALso, the RAC connection is here locally, in teh same office as the phone system. i have a modem hooked up to my pc, and the software from avaya installed and running, but i just can't seem to find the extension to hit the RAC card. if i dial 76 from any of the 18D phones, i get a fax signal. i've the system Remote access code, and know what it is, but it never prompts me to put in. what am i missing here? thanks very much for the help..

Some progress! i am now able get into the VM system though the phone logon. I am now able to also dial up with ACS PC Admin software to the system... However, when i dial in, it never asks for my remote passcode (4 digits). its says 'connected at 14400', but then says "session initiation with the PARTNER system has failed". i click ok and on the bottom of ACS PC Admin it says 'connected at 14400'. I try to do "retreive system info" but get an error about trying to get info before a connection is made or after it has been dropped. i know the remote code, i created it. but where am i going wrong here? anyone know these 18D phones well?

Forget the damn remote access and leave your laptop at home. You can do everything from x10 or 11.
